SP 316
Project Brief
DAVIS was selected by the confidential client and US General Services Administration (GSA) to build out SP 316, a new facility at Quantum Park in Ashburn, Virginia! After renovating the base building by installing new bathroom cores, elevators, as well as a new employee entrance, we turned the interior into a space that is functional, efficient, and modern.
The construction process required coordination of the highest level as well as adherence to strict requirements due to high-end security systems and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) spaces. SCIF spaces are highly secure areas designed to safeguard classified information. Additionally, the 20,000-SF of laboratory spaces consisted of highly technical features, including exhaust systems, gas piping, and fire alarm systems. Overcoming these challenges required meticulous planning, effective communication, and close collaboration among the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
