DAVIS pays 100% of healthcare premiums, which means there are no payroll deductions for medical, dental or prescription coverage for you or your dependents. Additionally, DAVIS offers company-paid disability and life insurance benefits, as well as an annual contribution to your Health Savings Account (HSA). Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free and confidential access to counseling and other mental health resources. Meet Kara Mele, Project Executive

Mom On The Go

As a Project Executive, Kara manages some of our biggest, most complex interiors projects. She is also a mom to three active boys. Between soccer games, swim practices, and managing her workload, Kara has a lot on her plate. Professional Development

Kara's education and work experience in Architecture gives her a unique advantage in the building process and communicating with clients. She is regularly out and about for various industry engagement events and serves on the Board of Directors for Calvary Women's Services. At DAVIS, we recognize the value of industry and community connections and encourage all of our employees to get involved in a way that benefits their career advancement.

Wellness at Work

Connecting with clients doesn't just happen on the project site. Kara, and several other DAVIS coworkers, formed a running group for industry colleagues. They meet at 6 AM each Thursday morning for a trail run through Rock Creek Park in DC.

Meet Giacomo Goyzueta, Director - Estimating

Work Life Balance

Giacomo starts the day with his family, sending his daughter off to school and checking in on his son (who's now in college!) before hitting the road for the office. Family is one of his main priorities. At DAVIS, we make sure our employees have a healthy work life balance equipped with 100% employer-paid medical, dental and prescription insurance premiums.

Welcoming Workspace

When Giacomo gets to the office, it's time for business. As Director of Estimating, he manages our bid process and takes full advantage of our newly renovated Rockville-HQ that features collaborative, sustainable, and technology-driven spaces.

You can usually find him at his desk or in the bid room, but Giacomo also regularly visits project sites. Whether he is driving his company-provided vehicle or taking the Metro just steps from our HQ, he sees our work in action from beginning to end.
