YOU belong at DAVIS

DAVIS' Diversity, Equity + Inclusion (DE+I) program represents our commitment to embracing all people and perspectives. It is no secret that the commercial real estate and construction industries need to do more to increase diversity. At DAVIS, we are committed to intentionally building a workplace where our employees are provided the necessary support to be successful.

The Recruiting Committee creates and maintains a best-in-class interview experience from the candidate and interviewer's perspectives. Finally, the Steering Committee integrates best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion into the fabric of our company culture.

Mentorships That Support Diversity

On the Reunion Square project, DAVIS served as the liaison for several mentorship programs that have encouraged partnerships amongst local Drywall, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical trade partners. These partnerships have resulted in over $10M worth of work on this $67M project, enabling smaller firms to work alongside larger subcontractors in a formal mentorship program.

Innovation

Our Innovation Council coordinates how we research, prioritize, implement, and communicate innovation initiatives across the organization. In addition, DAVIS' Chief Innovation Officer focuses explicitly on strategic planning and driving innovation throughout our organization.

Community Outreach

We don't just measure our community service impact by the numbers. Partnering with local nonprofits and industry organizations to make a real difference is what we call ROI. With a core focus on safe and affordable housing, health and wellness, education, and sustainability, we are greatly rewarded to see how our efforts benefit our community and more importantly, how they continue to effect change.

Sustainability

At DAVIS, we never lose sight of construction's impact on our surrounding environment. We believe in providing healthy places for people to live, work, and play. DAVIS mindfully integrates environmentally responsible procedures across all market sectors by taking a proactive sustainability approach. We define priorities, set measurable targets and evaluate costs and benefits.

Our team is well-versed with jurisdictional green codes and knowledgeable of the various green rating systems and guidelines, such as USGBC’s LEED® system and the Well Building Standard. From our preferred vendor waste management program to project site air quality standards — we build green.

Sustainable practices are rooted in our culture — at DAVIS, it’s the only way we do business.

In addition to the example we set on our project sites, we’re also continually evolving our sustainability initiatives in our headquarters and project site offices. From planting an annual native garden to corporate composting and comprehensive educational opportunities, we are truly committed to sustainable construction.
