The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage full lifecycle recruiting with a ownership on university, college, and high school education outreach, helping drive DAVIS' efforts to hire top talent for internship, co-op, and entry-level positions. This role will build strong relationships with university career centers, academic departments, student organizations, and high school education programs to promote DAVIS' brand. Additionally, where available the TA Specialist will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and external contacts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a campus ambassador for DAVIS, actively championing the company’s culture to students, faculty, and career services.
- Build and nurture relationships with universities, career centers, professors, academic clubs, student groups, and high schools to increase DAVIS' visibility and presence within target campuses and educational communities.
- Organize and manage DAVIS’ participation in university career fairs, educational engagement, and other recruitment events, ensuring the company’s materials and messaging are effective and up-to-date.
- Source, screen, and engage early-career candidates through a variety of channels, including career fairs, job boards, student organizations, and social media platforms.
- Assist with full lifecycle recruitment, including resume reviews, candidate interviews, and job offer coordination.
- Represent DAVIS at campus career fairs and recruitment events, traveling to universities and schools to engage with students and develop a pipeline of top talent.
- Oversee the DAVIS Internship Program, ensuring a seamless process from recruitment to onboarding for internship and co-op candidates. Collaborate with hiring managers and University Champions to understand their recruitment needs and communicate effectively regarding candidate selections.
- Develop and refine job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers to ensure they align with both departmental needs and the candidate market.
- Create engaging, accurate, and inclusive job advertisements to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
- Analyze the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, using data to enhance outreach and ensure diversity in hiring efforts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local recruitment laws while maintaining accurate candidate data and records.
- Regularly report on recruitment activities, candidate pipelines, and diversity metrics.
- Maintain open communication with hiring managers and external stakeholders, providing timely updates and feedback regarding the recruitment process.
- Continuously develop creative outreach initiatives and strategies to attract diverse and qualified candidates from a variety of educational backgrounds.
- Uphold DAVIS’ core values, providing exceptional service and building meaningful relationships.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE + SPECIAL SKILLS
Required
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on university or highs school education outreach
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Proven experience coordinating university career fairs, internship programs, and other educational outreach events
- Familiarity with recruitment processes, strategies, and compliance requirements for high school and higher education
- Knowledge of best practices in building relationships with educational institutions, including career services, professors, and student organizations
- Familiarity with using applicant tracking systems (ATS- e.g., WorkDay)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of candidate and organizational data
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect effectively with students, faculty, and hiring managers
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Experience coordinating education-related outreach programs
- Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in recruitment
- Background in the construction industry or a similar field

The base salary (or hourly) range for this position is
$75,000.00 - $105,000.00DAVIS is committed to providing our employees with a competitive total compensation package that enhances your quality of life.
