DAVIS Construction Foundation Awards Four Splash Grants to Nonprofits

Founded in 2021, the DAVIS Construction Foundation (DCF) exists to provide financial support to non-profit organizations that are meaningful to our employees. Since that time, DCF has awarded 46 grants totaling $182,000 to charitable organizations that have been nominated by our DAVIS colleagues.  

We're excited to announce the four winners of the 2024 Splash Grants, each valued at $20,000! Congratulations to the recipients, who each received a donation from DCF to be donated to their nominated 501(c)(3) organizations: 

City Youth Matrix - Nominated by Cathy Ruyter  
City Youth Matrix helps families with limited resources access a diverse spectrum of enrichment programs that provide experiences for their children. By eliminating financial, transportation, and cultural barriers, City Youth Matrix provides families the opportunities and networks that build a better future for their children. 

Northstar Tutoring - Nominated by Noel Titus  
Northstar Tutoring helps low-income and underserved children in the Washington, D.C. area achieve their full potential. By pairing each student with a volunteer tutor/mentor, they provide the free academic support and personal attention these students might not otherwise have

Terra Rubra Lions Club - Nominated by Grant Cox 
A Lions Club is a group of citizens coming together to serve those in need within the community. Terra Rubra embodies the 'We Serve' motto through scholarships, youth athletic programs, vision care assistance, free hospital equipment loans, blood drives, diabetes awareness, community projects, and fostering patriotism and citizenship in youth

Woodley House - Nominated by Matt Cafritz 
Woodley House provides personalized mental health supportive services and housing for District of Columbia residents. Founded in 1958, Woodley House operates homes and programs across four DC wards for 400 Washingtonians annually.
