A cafe within a modern office

Project Brief

DAVIS transformed a full floor for the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), delivering a modern workplace designed to support a flexible and functional base of workers. The interior renovation introduced a mix of open work areas, private offices, and huddle rooms—creating an environment that adapts to how teams collaborate.

At the heart of the space, a central café and pantry serves as a natural hub for employees. Featuring curved millwork, integrated seating, and elevated finishes, the space balances comfort with a refined aesthetic. This sense of arrival continues through an arched entryway and updated elevator lobby, establishing a strong first impression for both employees and visitors.

The project also included upgraded restrooms and comprehensive improvements to flooring, ceilings, lighting, and audiovisual systems throughout. Behind the scenes, full MEP coordination ensured the space performs as seamlessly as it looks.

The result is a cohesive, high-quality workspace that enhances collaboration while supporting the organization’s evolving needs.
