DAVIS' 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Group of people with two checks

We held our Annual Charity Golf Tournament for the fourth consecutive year at Cattail Creek Country Club in Glenwood, MD. We welcomed 131 participants representing 34 trade and industry partners. With the help of our generous sponsors, we raised over $60,000! This year, the proceeds were donated to two longtime nonprofit partners of DAVIS, Nonprofit Village of Rockville and Special Olympics DC. Nonprofit Village provides affordable office space, services, and collaboration opportunities to over 30 nonprofit organizations in the DC region. Special Olympics DC offers sports and health programs at no cost to more than 1,600 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the district.

“We have a deep connection to these organizations. DAVIS and our employees have supported them for several years and nothing feels better than presenting them with a check that will support their important work in our communities.”

-Matt Weirich,  Vice President + Golf Tournament Chair, DAVIS

At the end of the tournament, we invited participants, sponsors, and guests to join us for dinner, accompanied by a closing program. Kim Jones, Executive Director at Nonprofit Village, John Camp, Nonprofit Village Board Member, and Nicole Preston, President + CEO of Special Olympics DC, were on hand to accept checks on their organizations' behalf.

"DAVIS demonstrates their belief that corporate responsibility extends well beyond the bottom line and we're very proud to have them as a partner."
