Project Brief

With its prime location in downtown DC, 601 Indiana Avenue is the perfect space for a new, modern hotel. Its unique 1960's-style structure, however, means that the building has low floor-to-floor heights and high sill lines. Though these conditions present a challenge, DAVIS is finding ways to build successfully. The proposed redesign will revitalize the structure and modernize the Pavilion on Pilots system, a common design style during the time of the original office's construction. The new hotel will provide a more updated use of old space while preserving and modernizing the design principles implemented during the time.

601 Indiana Avenue is scheduled to open its doors to the public at the end of 2026.
