Inaugural SCIF Summit Connects Peers Across Industry

In partnership with Arium A/E, we recently brought more than 100 industry peers together for a day-long SCIF Summit in Laurel, MD. This event gathered experts to discuss the evolving landscape of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and the challenges facing the ever-evolving industry.
WTOP Sports Radio’s Frank Hanrahan served as master of ceremonies, guiding discussions that featured key figures such as former CIA Director of Security Charlie Phalen. Attendees explored critical topics including the latest developments in ICD 705 standards, security measures, and innovative materials.
One of the primary takeaways was the increasing demand for high-security facilities across both government and private sectors. As threats evolve, the industry must adapt by enhancing compliance strategies and refining best practices in SCIF construction. Experts emphasized the necessity of collaboration between builders, designers and security professionals to ensure facilities meet stringent security requirements.
“This event reinforced the critical role of secure facility construction in today’s tech-driven world. By bringing together leading professionals, we are able to share knowledge and shape the future of this specialized sector.”
