Project Brief

Continuing our longstanding partnership with Comstock Companies, DAVIS is serving as the general contractor for the Reston Row District at Reston Station, a mixed-use development that includes four above-grade structures organized around the central plaza. This project comprises of two trophy office buildings, a hotel and condo, and a high-rise apartment building, with ground floor retail and a 1.3-million-SF parking garage attached. Reston Row is currently the largest ongoing construction project in the Greater Washington area!

One of the most thrilling yet demanding parts of this project was the parking garage -- crews dug 70 feet below ground level to carve out space for the massive five-level structure, hauling away a staggering 600,000 cubic yards of dirt. With so many large buildings involved, the project featured an abundance of windows, including some truly massive panels—the heaviest weighing about 22,000 pounds! In the end, 613 glazing units were expertly installed across 240 precast panels, and despite the complexity, only one panel was damaged during transit. 

Reston Row compliments the Reston Station development with outdoor amenities, private rooftop terraces, and public space. Look for it to be completed soon!
