80 M Street SE Expansion

Mass timber is one of the most exciting stories in construction—building with wood can make any project more sustainable, time-efficient, and aesthetically pleasing. At 80 M St SE, we built the very first mass timber project in Washington, DC! Working with our trade partners including Arup, Columbia Property Trust, and Hickok Cole, we built the District's most unique office space—a 105,000-SF mass timber addition atop the existing concrete building. Located in the burgeoning Capitol Riverfront district and completed in 2022, the 80 M Street expansion takes full advantage of mass timber’s capabilities.
